Description
The Church of St Andrew Thelveton is a building mainly from the 15th century, although it has undergone significant restoration. It features a blocked Norman north doorway, a nave, and a chancel. The church has 19th-century Perpendicular windows, and the original tower has been destroyed. A late 19th-century red brick south porch has been added. Inside, there is a 15th-century font decorated with figures of angels, lions, and flowers on the bowl, as well as small figures on the stem. There is also a monument to Thomas Mann from 1886, created by G. Stoatt. The building is constructed of flint with stone dressings, partly rendered, and has tiled roofs.
