Description

The lychgate located south-west of the Church of St Margaret is a late 19th-century structure. It features a timber frame and a gabled tiled roof, which is adorned with pierced and shaped barge boards. Each gable includes a king post and an arch-braced tie-beam. The sides of the lychgate have three arched bays, each with small pierced trefoils in the spandrels. Additionally, there is ornate cresting on the ridge tiles and a flint plinth at the base.
