Description

This is a former threshing barn, dating from the 17th century. It is timber framed and clad in weatherboarding, with a reed-thatched roof featuring gabled ends. The barn is a four-sided stead barn, forming a T-shaped plan. A gabled porch is located off-centre on the east side, featuring double doors which are replacements. Internally, the roof structure includes two tiers of butt-purlins, arch-braced tie beams resting on jowled principal posts, and large diagonal braces to the studwork. The farmhouse on the property is not listed.
