Description
West Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with significant alterations made around 1800. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features pantiled roofs, forming an L-shaped plan. The west facade has two storeys and consists of five bays. The central entrance has a panelled door set within a rusticated doorcase, topped by a seven-vaned fanlight with glazed spandrels and a rectangular surround. Above the door is a flat hood. The ground floor has four sash windows with glazing bars, positioned beneath gauged skewback arches, while the first floor has three similar sash windows without the arches. The roof is gabled and has a bell base, with a 20th-century ridge stack on the south gable and a 17th-century stack on the north gable, which has a square plinth and two elongated octagonal flues. At the rear, there is a two-storey cross wing.
