Description
St Michael's Barn and the attached outbuilding range is a barn built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof. The building has a T-shaped plan, with a wing that projects forward on the right side. It likely consists of five bays by four bays. There are double doors located just before the intersection of the two sections and a small 20th-century door to the left. The wing has ventilation slits and two additional openings on the left end. The right end has a catslide roof that covers an open lean-to cattle shelter, which is supported by wooden posts. This structure extends to the left, forming a U-shaped yard that ends with a former stable building. Inside the barn, there is a tie beam truss roof with some braces to the ties, two tiers of purlins, and a single tier of collars.
