Description

Nos 28 and 29 on Upper Street are 17th or 18th century timber-frame cottages that are faced in red brick, likely from the late 19th century. They feature a steep pantile roof with gabled ends and stand two storeys tall. The cottages have three windows, with two-light casements that include glazing bars; the first-floor windows are smaller, while the ground-floor windows are set in segmental-headed openings. No 28 has a glazed door, while No 29 has a plank door. There is an off-centre brick chimney stack and another chimney at the end of the building.
