Description

The Bakery is a 17th or 18th century timber-framed cottage located on the west side of Upper Street in Gissing. The exterior is roughcast, and it features a steep gable-ended roof covered with asbestos slates. The building has one storey and an attic, with three late 19th century sash windows and one wedge-shaped dormer. An off-centre late 19th century panelled door is situated in front of a brick chimney stack. There is a later lean-to structure on the south end of the front and additional lean-tos at the rear.
