Description

Nos 26 and 27 Upper Street is a timber-framed house dating from the 16th or 17th century. The exterior is rendered, and it features a steep black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends, with the northern part having a slightly steeper pitch. There is a brick chimney stack located at the junction of the roofs. The building has two storeys and an attic, which includes a window in the gable end, and it has five windows overall. The windows are early 19th century and modern casements. On the left (south) side, there is a modern pilastered doorway. At the rear, there is a modern addition and a lean-to.
