Description

The Church of St Margaret is a Grade I listed building located in Tharston, Hapton. The church primarily dates from the 14th century, featuring a nave and chancel arch from this period, as well as a chancel adorned with Perpendicular windows. It includes a south porch and a west tower that was constructed in 1848. Inside, there are choir bench ends from the 15th century, which are decorated with poppyheads, and a plain octagonal font from the same century, accompanied by a 17th-century cover. The church is built of flint with stone dressings and has slate roofs.
