Description
The Friary and the adjoining outbuilding to the west is a 17th-century house constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior. It features a thatched roof with gabled ends and stands two storeys tall with an attic. The building has three windows, including two and four-light casements that have applied Victorian cusped heads, as well as attic windows located in the gable ends. A modern gabled porch is positioned at the center of the front elevation, and there is an off-centre brick chimney stack. The structure is L-shaped, with a rear wing that also has a timber frame and plastered finish, complemented by a large brick chimney stack with panelled sides. To the west, there is a one-storey range that includes plastered timber-frame stables at the end, which also has a gable-ended thatched roof.
