Description

The Hermitage is a 17th-century timber-framed building, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries at the north end. The exterior is stuccoed and features a black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays, with early 19th-century, three-light casement windows. On the left side, there is a late 19th-century glazed door and a gabled porch. A large brick chimney stack is located off-centre towards the south. Inside the south end, there are chamfered beams and exposed timber framing in the attic, which includes remnants of an original wood mullion window.
