Description

Holly Farmhouse is a 17th-century timber-frame house. The south end is plastered, while the north end is faced with 18th-century brick and painted. The roof is steeply pitched and covered in black glazed pantiles, with gabled ends. A brick chimney stack is located off-centre. The house has two storeys and an attic, with one small dormer window in the attic and casement windows in the gable ends. There are four widely-spaced windows, mostly 18th and 19th century casements with glazing bars. A sash window with glazing bars is on the ground floor to the left (south), and a modern casement is on the ground floor to the right (north). The doorcase is located to the right of centre, featuring reeded pilasters, a frieze, and a panelled door. A lean-to addition is present at the rear (west).
