Description

The Street Farmhouse is a late 16th-century timber-frame building, originally plastered. It has a pantile roof with gabled ends and a rendered brick chimney located off-centre. The farmhouse is two storeys high. 19th-century, two and three-light casement windows are incorporated into the facade. A doorway, with a glazed door and a hood supported by console brackets, is situated in front of the chimney stack. A 17th-century extension, also timber-frame and plastered, adjoins the north-east end, featuring a continuous pantile roof, casements, and a brick chimney stack. A lean-to has been added to the rear (south-east). The original south-west end of the interior contains two heavily moulded ceiling beams.
