Description
The Former Crown Inn is a building that was originally a public house and is now divided into two dwellings. The south-east wing, which is perpendicular to the road, dates from the 17th century and features a timber frame with roughcast, while the ground floor is faced in modern red brick. This section is two storeys high with an attic, a low-pitched pantile roof with gabled ends, and an off-centre brick chimney stack. The north-west wing faces the road and is constructed with a brick-faced timber frame, also featuring a pantile roof with gabled ends. This wing is one storey high with an attic and has mostly modern casements, some of which include glazing bars. Inside, the building showcases exposed timber framing and chamfered ceiling beams.
