Description

The Nook is a 17th or 18th century cottage located on the north-east side of The Street in Shelfanger. It features a timber-frame structure that is covered in stucco, with a black glazed pantile roof that has gabled ends. The cottage is one storey high with an attic and has two windows. The ground floor has modern casement windows, while there are two 19th century flat roof dormers with sash windows that include glazing bars and cornices. At the south-east end, there is an end brick chimney stack and a one-storey lean-to. The building is included for its group interest.
