Description
Nos 9, 11, and 15 on The Thoroughfare in Harleston are 17th-century buildings that were originally one structure. The building is timber-framed, with No 9 finished in stucco and Nos 11 and 15 in roughcast. It features a steeply pitched tiled roof with gables at each end facing the road, along with gabled wings at the rear and a shorter wing at the center, creating an E-shaped plan. The front has Victorian-style bargeboards with decorative finals and pediments. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has five windows, which include sash windows, some with glazing bars, and attic windows in the gables. The ground floor has three late Victorian shop windows, each with cornices, console brackets, and blind cases. There are also brick chimney stacks present.
