Description
The Church of St Michael is a Grade I listed building dating from the 15th century. It consists of a nave, south porch, chancel, and a west tower. The church features large Perpendicular style windows in both the nave and chancel. The south porch, also from the 15th century, has flushwork panelling. The west tower is substantial, with diagonal buttresses, two-light bell-openings, an embattled parapet adorned with flushwork panelling, and a Perpendicular style west window along with a west doorway. Inside, the wide nave has a roof supported by moulded tie-beams, arched braces, and queen-posts, with one pair of hammerbeams. The chancel features an arched brace roof. Notable interior elements include a 15th-century octagonal font and the Royal Arms of Queen Anne. The building is constructed from flint with stone dressings, and parts of it are rendered.
