Description

The Unicorn is a house located in Hingham, dating from the early 19th century. The front of the building features red brick construction with a two-pitched gable-ended pantile roof, adorned with brick dentil eaves. It stands two storeys high and has three sash windows with glazing bars, each topped by flat brick arches. The central entrance has a 20th-century doorcase with a fielded panel door, and there are brick chimneys positioned over the gable ends. At the rear, there is a 17th-century timber-frame wing, which has red brick infilling and a steeply pitched black glazed pantile roof with gabled ends. This wing also has two storeys and an attic, with modern casements on the upper floor, and the ground floor features modern garage doors and a lean-to.
