Description

The Smithy is a cottage dating from around 1700, featuring a brick pantile roof with coped parapets. It has a late lobby entrance and consists of two cells, with one and a half storeys. The wider cell is to the right and includes a forward single storey range that is now used as a shop. There is an off-centre left axial stack. The building is constructed in Flemish bond brick and has a sawtooth cornice, a boarded door, and 2-light casements on both the ground and first floors. The gables show brick tumbling, and the left return has a renewed single storey pantiled addition, while the right return features a 2-light casement.
