Description
The Church of St Botolph is a parish church dating from the 15th century, with the nave being re-roofed and restored around 1960. It is constructed of flint with ashlar and some brick dressings, topped with plaintiled roofs. The church features a west tower, an aisleless nave with a south porch, and a chancel with a vestry to the north. There are four restored three-light Perpendicular nave windows, a three-light Y-traceried east window, and three two-light chancel windows. The west tower includes diagonal buttresses, two-light bell-openings, and a crenellated parapet. A brick-dressed blocked north door has a four-centred arch and a hood-mould with stone label stops. There are remains of a stoop beside the south door. The vestry and chancel roof, along with fittings, are mainly from the Victorian period, with some 20th-century elements.
