Description

Thatch Cottage is a 17th century timber-framed house that is plastered and features a thatched roof with gabled ends. It has an off-centre brick chimney stack and stands two storeys tall with attics. The cottage includes 18th century mullion and transom casements, some of which have leaded panes, as well as 19th century casements. There is one dormer with mullion casements and three plank doors that are sheltered by late 19th century gabled porches. A later addition is a plastered wing on the west end, which has a steep pantile roof, and there is a lean-to at the rear.
