Description

No. 4 Chapelfield North is a house from the early 19th century, constructed of painted brick with a slate roof. It has three storeys plus a semi-basement and features three bays. The central entrance is a recessed door framed by a reeded surround and two Greek Doric columns. The ground and second floors have sash windows with glazing bars and rubbed brick flat arches. On the first floor, there are French windows with a fanlight above, leading to a fine wrought-iron trellis-work balcony. The bays are defined by pilasters, and there is a grouped bracket cornice that supports the overhanging eaves.
