Description

This is a terrace of six cottages located at Gildencroft, dating back to the 16th century, with subsequent alterations in the 17th and 18th centuries and 20th-century restorations. The cottages are built of flint with brick detailing at ground floor level, and have a timber-framed first floor. They feature a pantile roof. The terrace is two storeys high, with the first floor being jettied, or projecting slightly. Originally, each cottage had a central door flanked by windows, but these have now been replaced by sash and casement windows, or the doorways have been blocked. The first floor windows are mullion and transom style.
