Description

The north west quadrant pavilion at Eaton Park is a park pavilion built between 1924 and 1928 by architect A Sandys Winsch. It features colourwashed stone and concrete in a Classical style, with a balustraded flat roof. The pavilion has a quadrant plan that is completely surrounded by a colonnade. It stands on a stepped plinth, from which Tuscan columns rise to support an entablature topped with a balustrade that includes piers at intervals above the columns. The colonnade contains various doorways with panelled doors and fanlights, as well as mullion and transom windows, all interspersed with pilasters that correspond to the columns. This pavilion is one of a group of four structures, including the Bandstand, that contribute to the significant layout of Eaton Park, which is listed in the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade II*.
