Description

Number 12 on St Andrew's Hill is a shop dating from the 18th century. It features painted brick on a flint plinth and has a pantile roof. The building is situated on a corner site, with its main facade positioned at a right angle to St Andrew's Hill. It has three storeys and three bays. The central door is topped with a rectangular fanlight and flanked by Doric columns that support a pediment, which displays the carved arms of the Grocers Company. There is an additional door at the far left, surrounded by a plain pilaster. Between the doors, there is a sash window with glazing bars, while casement windows with rubbed brick flat arches are found elsewhere on the building. A moulded fascia cornice runs along the top, and the roof is hipped.
