Description
No. 14 Bank Street is a building from the 16th century that has been refaced, heightened, and extended in the early 20th century. The rear wall is made of flint rubble, while the front wall on the first floor is timber framed but concealed by 20th-century stucco work. The roof is covered with Roman pantiles. The building has three storeys, with the first floor jettied. It features three bays, a rusticated ground floor with a central door and two mullion and transom windows. There is billet moulding on the jetty and mock 'Tudor' framing above, all in stucco. Inside, the first floor has a 16th-century battened ceiling with tie beams. The original use of the building is unknown, but it is currently used as an office.
