Description

The Jolly Butchers is an early 18th-century public house, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick and has a pantile roof. The building is three storeys high, with five windows on the second floor. The main entrance is a left-hand, off-centre door, featuring a rectangular fanlight and a gabled porch. To the left of the door is a casement window, and to the right a sash window with side lights, both set within segmental arches. A carriage entry is located at the extreme right. A floor band separates the ground and first floors, while sash windows with segmental arches are present on the first floor. Casement windows are found on the second floor, beneath a box cornice.
