Description

Nos. 19 to 21 on Haymarket are shops built in the late 18th century. The building features painted brick and has a plain tile roof. It stands three storeys tall with an attic and consists of eight bays, with the central four bays projecting. The shop fronts were updated in the 20th century. Throughout the building, there are sash windows that include glazing bars and are topped with rubbed brick flat arches. A heavy box cornice with flat modillions adds to the architectural detail. The roof has six sloping-roof dormers and one double-dormer with a gable, and it is designed as a mansard roof.
