Description
Oak Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, consisting of two builds. The 16th-century section is constructed of knapped flint, while the 17th-century addition features flint rubble with brick dressings and has a black glazed pantiled roof. The earlier house has a ground floor window and door framed in cemented architraves, along with one blocked window. On the first floor, there are two 3-light casements and single light casements, all with dressed brick and cemented render. The 17th-century section to the east has two ground floor casements, one with 3 lights and the other with 4 lights, and two 3-light casements on the first floor. The ground floor includes a brick plinth string course and 17th-century brick end quoins, along with an 18th-century brick dentil cornice. The house features an off-centre stack and an east end stack. The east gable has a 17th-century attic window, while the west gable includes a 3-light chamfered brick attic window with brick diaper patterns below.
