Description
The Terraced Beach Chalets on The Promenade in Cromer are a group of six chalets built in the early 20th century. Each chalet features a set of double doors at the front, with either one or two small windows on either side. The end chalets project slightly forward from the main line of the terrace, and there is a wooden verandah between them. The roofs are pitched and have gables above the projecting end chalets. Each gable is adorned with bargeboards and mock Tudor wood panelling, and a finial is positioned at the top of each gable. The side and rear elevations are rendered and painted, with brick quoins on the sides. Most of the original windows and architectural features remain intact, except for the rainwater disposal goods, which were replaced in the early 21st century. Inside, the chalets are plastered but otherwise quite plain.
