Description
Cley Mill is a windmill that has been converted into holiday accommodation, dating from the 18th century. It features a brick tower with a white painted wooden cap, sails, and a fantail. The structure stands five storeys tall and has a part balcony made of white painted wood on the second floor. There are casement openings with glazing bars on each floor facing northwest and southwest. The second floor has a door leading to the balcony, while the ground floor northwest has a large French window with glazing bars and a glazed door to the southwest. Attached to the southeast is a flint and brick building on the ground floor, along with a weatherboarded addition under pantiles on the first floor and a weatherboarded stair turret on the second floor. The cap and sails are fixed, and the tower is said to contain the main shaft and break wheel.
