Description
The Anchor Public House is a cottage built around 1820. It features walls made of flint with brick dressings and a roof covered in smut pantiles. The building is two stories high with an end gable facing the road to the north, and it has an outshut. On the ground floor, there are two polygonal bay windows with glazing bars on the right side, along with a partially glazed door. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars. The eaves are deep and supported by wooden modillions, also dating from around 1820. The roof is hipped with an off-centre stack. On the eastern return of the first floor, there are two casement windows with glazing bars, each with two lights, and below this is a 20th-century flat-roofed extension.
