Description

Briston War Memorial is located in the churchyard of the Church of All Saints on Church Street in Briston, Norfolk. It is prominently placed beside the path that runs through the churchyard. The memorial features a Latin stone cross with a finely carved Sword of Sacrifice in relief and a wreath carved around the cross head. It stands on a double, four-sided plinth with chamfered corners, resting on a single-stepped base.

The plinth has inscriptions carved in relief that read: "IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF/ THE MEN OF BRISTON/ WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 1919/ (NAMES)// THEIR NAME LIVETH/ FOR EVERMORE// 1939 1945/ (NAMES)."
