Description
No. 22 Church Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a black glazed pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. On the ground floor, there are two sash windows, while the first floor has three sash windows, all with single glazing bars set under flat rubbed brick arches that include a central painted keystone. The entrance features a wooden door with an architrave supported by console brackets, leading to a baseless pediment with an arched fan-light that has glazing bars. The front door itself is a six-panel design. The house has a wooden eaves cornice and parapets with stacks at both end gables. It is included for its group value with the Congregational Chapel located on the south side of the Lane.
