Description

Wiveton War Memorial is a stone structure likely built in the 1920s. It features a Latin cross with mouldings atop a slender, tapering octagonal shaft. The memorial stands on a three-tiered octagonal base, which has stop-chamfers. The sides of the base are inscribed with the names of the fallen and include a translated excerpt from the Dies irae of the Requiem Mass: "LORD ALL PITYING/ JESU BLEST,/ GRANT THEM THINE/ ETERNAL REST."
