Description
Square House is an early 19th century building of three storeys and five windows, situated on The Buttlands. The central bay projects and features a recessed window within a round-headed arch, with the parapet stepped up above it. Yellow brick construction is visible, along with a string course and a parapet. Glazing bars are missing. A stucco doorcase features pilasters and a cornice. The roof is slate. A two-storey, single-window wing extends from the left side. The building forms a group with other listed buildings on The Buttlands (West Side), as well as with Yew Tree House and an adjoining house.
