Description

Clarence House is an early 19th-century building located on the west side of The Buttlands. It is constructed of brick with a pantiled roof, featuring a yellow brick front and red brick on the rest of the structure. The house is two storeys high and has sash windows with glazing bars. It includes a plain parapet, flank pilasters, and a slight projection at the centre. The entrance consists of a six-panel door with panelled reveals, sheltered by a Greek Doric porch that has fluted columns. Clarence House is part of a group of listed buildings on The Buttlands, which also includes Yew Tree House and an adjoining house.
