Description
Cleaves House, consisting of Nos 1 to 8, is a group of mid to late 19th century almshouses located on Wells Road in Little Walsingham. The building is constructed from red brick and features large panels of flint on the ground floor. It has a steep pantile roof with gabled ends that are adorned with moulded stone coping. The eaves are highlighted by moulded brick dentilled detailing. The structure is two storeys high and consists of eight bays that are separated by flat brick pilasters. The windows are modern three-light metal-frame casements with glazing bars. There are five tall brick chimney stacks with diagonally set shafts. At the rear, the building retains original wood mullion casements, along with modern brick porches, although there are no doorways at the front.
