Description
No 2 on Wells Road is a late 18th-century building constructed of red brick, topped with a black pantile roof featuring coped gable ends and brick dentil eaves. The structure has two storeys and consists of five bays. The windows are sashes with glazing bars set in exposed casing, while the ground floor windows have flat rubbed brick arches. The central first-floor window is a modern two-light casement with glazing bars. A central doorway is framed by pilasters and an entablature, leading to a flush-panelled door with glazed top panels. To the right, there is a mid to late 19th-century shop front that includes pilasters and a cornice supported by paired brackets, along with flush panelled doors and a narrow rectangular fanlight. The building features brick chimney stacks at both ends and in the center.
