Description

No. 81 High Street is an early 19th-century end of terrace house, with the rest of the terrace having been rebuilt. It is constructed of yellow brick and features a pantile roof with gabled ends. The house has brick dentil eaves and consists of two storeys and an attic, with two bays. The windows are casements, with a three-light window on the ground floor and a two-light window on the first floor, both set in segmental-headed openings. The left-hand side has a simple boarded door that is partly glazed. There are two modern flat-roofed dormers on the roof and a large central brick chimney stack. The rear wall has been rebuilt in brick, although it was originally made of flint.
