Description
Nos. 2 and 4 on The Green is a 17th-century house with a plastered facade made of brick and flint, topped with a red pantiled roof. This two-storey building consists of a single pile pair. On the right side, there are three sash windows with glazing bars, while two paired sashes are positioned under one lintel. The house features two early 19th-century wooden doorcases with simply fluted architraves, roundels at the corners, fielded reveals, and six-panelled doors, four of which are glazed. On the first floor, there are five sash windows, all with glazing bars. The roof is shallow and hipped, with a deep unmoulded eaves cornice, and there are central stacks and two end stacks from the early 19th century. The rear wall, made of brick and flint, indicates that the house dates back to the 17th century or earlier. No. 2 has a lower rear wing.
