Description

The Church of St John the Baptist is a ruined church located in Croxton, which was abandoned following the opening of Christ Church, Fulmodeston in 1882. The church features late 13th century fabric with later details and is constructed from flint with brick dressings. It is roofless and consists of a three-bay nave with a porch on the north side, showcasing Perpendicular details in the arch. On the south side, there is a door opening, a straight-headed Perpendicular window, and a lancet set within a large arch that accommodates the sedilia. The west gable is notable for its extensive brick dressings and quoins.
