Description
The temple in the garden of Mannington Hall, located approximately 50 meters south of the southeast corner of the moat, is an ornamental Doric structure dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is rendered and features a slate roof behind a pediment. The front has an open colonnade supported by two baseless columns with Roman Doric capitals, which are topped by a plain entablature and pediment. Square Doric pilasters are positioned at the front and rear corners. The side walls have plain semi-circular headed openings. Inside, there is a marble classical statue of a female figure holding a model of a Palladian house.
