Description

Hall Farm House in Mannington is an 18th-century house with an earlier core. It is constructed of brick and has a pantile roof with an irregular plan. The facade features three bays and is two storeys high. The ground floor has 20th-century tripartite sash windows, while the central door is made up of four panels, with the top two being glazed. The door is framed by a wooden doorcase that includes pilasters and a plain cornice. The upper floors have horned sash windows with glazing bars and wooden lintels. A moulded brick cornice runs along the top, and the gables have kneelers. There are gable end stacks, with the one on the right being external and located only at the ground floor. The right-hand gable has two openings. At the rear, there is a catslide roof with a lower two-storey range beyond, and a massive external stack is positioned at the rear of the catslide. Although access to the interior was not possible, it is reported to have a 16th-century fireplace.
