Description
The Old Rectory is a house, formerly serving as a rectory, dated 1789 on the left-hand gable. It is constructed of rendered brick and covered with pantiles, featuring a T-shaped layout with a rear wing that has been extended to double its original width. The building has three bays, two storeys, and an attic. It includes gable end internal stacks with rendered shafts, blank panels, and oversailing caps.
On the ground floor, there are two low tripartite sash windows with glazing bars and no doorway, while the first floor has three sash windows with glazing bars. An attic window is located in the left-hand gable. The three-bay rear wing is also rendered and features a central axial stack. The later west front has sash windows with glazing bars, and the east front includes two-light casements with glazing bars, along with a door to the right.
To the left of the east facade of the rear wing, there is a porch with a double-leaved door, supported by square pilasters and a plain entablature. The upper storey has a flat roof and is of no special interest. Inside, there is an open string staircase with square balusters and a wreathed handrail.
