Description
Nos. 88 and 89 on The Street are a house and two cottages dating from the 17th century. The house, No. 89, features walls made of flint and clunch with brick dressings and a red pantiled roof. On the ground floor, there is one straight-headed three-light casement window, one single casement window, and one two-light segmental-headed casement window, along with a boarded door. The first floor has one four-light casement window and one two-light cast-iron casement window with glazing bars. The building has a brick dentil eaves cornice, quoins, and dressings, a steeply pitched roof with one dormer, and end stacks. The south gable has blocked rectangular attic windows and there is an outshut at the rear.
To the north are the two cottages, No. 88, which also have flint walls with brick dressings from the 17th century. Each cottage has a boarded door and one three-light casement window. The cottages feature brick heightening courses at the eaves, a steeply pitched roof, and a west end stack.
