Description
Church Cottage is an 18th-century cottage that has earlier and later elements. It is constructed of brick, flint, and thatch. The south front features two storeys with irregular window arrangements and a platband. The ground floor includes areas of brick and flint chequerwork, a 20th-century plank door to the left, and two 19th-century casement windows. The upper floor is entirely brick with two 19th-century casements. The gables have kneelers, and there is an off-centre axial stack along with a stack on the west gable. The west gable wall is made of brick, while the north wall is flint and has been raised in the 18th century with brick above. The ground floor has three 19th-century casements, a blocked doorway with brick quoins, and a blocked slit light next to the stack for the stair. The east gable wall is flint with brick in the upper part.
