Description
This is an early 18th-century building on the west side of High Street, comprising numbers 52 and 56. It is a two-storey brick structure, with the ground floor of number 52 finished in stucco, lined and painted, and including a floor band. The roof is covered with pantiles and has a wooden eaves band. The building has four flush frame sash windows on the first floor, with number 54 retaining its original glazing bars. On the ground floor, number 52 features a sash window with a segmental head, and a four-panel door with a decorative doorcase and consoles. Numbers 54 and 56 have wooden shop fronts with enriched cornices. Numbers 46 and 48, along with numbers 52 to 56, form a group.
