Description

This is a house, now used as offices, dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It was originally thought to contain a 15th-century arch in the front facade. The building is constructed of rendered and colourwashed brick, with a slate roof. It has two storeys and is divided into four bays, with a wide, square-headed carriage entrance in the second bay from the left. A 20th-century glazed door is positioned to the right. The windows are sash windows, four of which are tripartite, all dating to the 20th century and with glazing bars. A gabled roof is present, with a red-brick ridge stack to the left of centre and a gault-brick stack on the rear roof slope, right of centre. The rear stack is an internal gable-end stack and belongs to a 19th-century wing added to the rear. The rear of the main wall is rendered and colourwashed, and may be timber-framed. The interior has been significantly altered, with one chamfered bridging beam and a boxed cross beam visible on the ground floor. The upper floors were not inspected.
