Description

No 57 on High Street is an early 18th-century building constructed of carstone and brown brick. It features a first-floor band and toothed eaves, topped with an old tiled roof and a projecting end chimney. The building stands three stories tall and has four sash windows with glazing bars and cambered heads on the first and second floors. The ground floor has two sash windows that now only have central glazing bars. The entrance consists of a six-panel door with a divided fanlight and a flat hood supported by shaped brackets. This building is in a very important position and is part of a group with Nos 53 to 57 (odd).
